Introduction

Starting in 1981, the Pacific-Asian Marginal Seas (PAMS) Meeting is to cover the ever-growing multi-disciplinary oceanographic studies across the PAMS area and beyond. This meeting serves as a vital forum for sharing new ideas and experiences related to pertinent topics from theoretical, observational, and modeling perspectives.

As the environment and climate of the PAMS area have experienced substantial changes, the 21st PAMS Meeting (PAMS2024) will focus on the theme of “climate variability, extreme events, and their impacts”.
